Located just 4 kilometers away from the small city of Grevena, Kedros Observatory offers a unique stargazing experience. Nestled amidst the scenic landscapes of Grevena, Greece – at the mountain range of Pindus, our observatory provides an opportunity to explore the wonders of the night sky.
With minimal light pollution in our vicinity, with well-equipped facilities, advanced telescopes, instruments, and state of the art sensors, our observatory provides a pristine environment for observing celestial phenomena, receiving signals from space, and gathering high-quality scientific data – both in the Visual and Radio Frequency spectrum! Our custom-made electronics and algorithms allow us to control our entire facilities totally remotely and autonomously from anywhere in the world.
We strive to ignite curiosity and inspire a deeper appreciation for the cosmos and the science and engineering around it. Soon, we are going to offer stargazing sessions, workshops, educational programs, and materials suitable for individuals of all ages and levels of expertise.
